Anioł pasterzom mówił:
Chrystus się wam narodził
W Betlejem, nie bardzo podłym mieście,
Narodził się w ubóstwie
Pan wszego stworzenia”.

Chcąc się dowiedzieć tego,
Poselstwa wesołego,
Bieżeli do Betlejem skwapliwie,
Znaleźli Dziecię w żłobie,
Maryję z Józefem.

Taki Pan chwały wielkiej,
Uniżył się Wysoki;
Pałacu kosztownego żadnego,
Nie miał zbudowanego,
Pan wszego stworzenia!

O dziwne narodzenie,
Nigdy nie wysłowione!
Poczęła Panna Syna w czystości,
Porodziła w całości
Panieństwa swojego.

Już się ono spełniło,
Co pod figurą było
Arona różdżka ona zielona
Stała się nam kwitnąca
I owoc rodząca.

Słuchajcie Boga Ojca,
Jako wam Go zaleca:
Ten ci jest Syn najmilszy, jedyny,
W raju wam obiecany,
Tego wy słuchajcie.

Bogu bądź cześć i chwała,
Która by nie ustała,
Jak Ojcu, tak i Jego Synowi
I Świętemu Duchowi,
W Trójcy jedynemu.

Shepherds heard the angels say:
"Christ the Lord is born today.
Bethlehem, not too lowly, on this morn,
There so humbly He is born.
Great Lord of earth and sky".

Eager as they were to know
Off to Bethlehem they go;
A bright star let the shepherds on their way
Where they found Christ on the hay,
Mary and Joseph, too.

Lord and God from heav’n above,
Who came down with greatest love,
Where His home was a lowly cattle shed
And a manger for His bed,
King of the universe.

O Birth most miraculous,
Ever inexpressible,
Christ is born of a Virgin Mother pure,
She bore forth the Savior sweet,
In Her virginity.

Shepherds heard the angels say:
”Christ is born to you this day.
Bethlehem is His lowly place of birth,
Born so humbly to this earth.
Lord of creation.”

Thus the Lord through his great love,
Came from heaven, up above.
No great place, grand or costly had He here,
But a manger cold and drear.
Lord of creation.
